Hassan has more than a decade of diverse legal experience in litigation and legal advice. He is the firm’s expert on constitutional, regulatory, internet, and technology law. Hassan has represented clients in major disputes before the High Courts and has assisted senior advocates before the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He was part of the legal team that successfully defended the constitutionality of the Competition Act, 2010 and the Punjab Revenue Authority before the Lahore High Court. He has also advised domestic and international clients on Pakistan’s antitrust regulation, successfully appearing in matters relating to deceptive marketing and price fixing. On the advisory side, he has advised a number of clients on successful Phase 1 merger clearance applications before the CCP. 

From 2020-2025, Hassan served as the lead regulatory counsel for the South and Central Asia (SCA) region for Meta Platforms Inc. (formerly Facebook) and was based in Singapore. As Meta’s in-house counsel, he advised the company on growing its business in the SCA region while mitigating legal risk. He represented Meta before the highest levels of government and routinely counselled on complex freedom of expression and data protection issues. 

Along with his legal practice, Hassan is passionate about legal academia and has been part of the visiting faculty at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. His views on the law are often published in Pakistan’s leading newspapers such as DAWN and The News International.

  • Represented Meta Platforms Inc. before regulators in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. 

  • Successfully represented major corporations in disputes  before the Competition Commission of Pakistan.

  • Successfully argued a complex commercial dispute on behalf of one of the largest telecom companies in Pakistan. 

  • Advised and closed a major acquisition of an investment bank and a brokerage house.

  •  Advised a major transportation company in international arbitration proceedings on the laws of Pakistan.

  • Part of the legal team that challenged the acquisition of land by the Federal Government in Sector F-14 in Islamabad
